Who Should Take AP Chinese?
Heritage Speakers
Students who speak Chinese at home but haven't studied formal grammar or characters. AP Chinese gives heritage speakers a high-value credential for their existing skills.
Advanced Learners
Students who've studied Mandarin since elementary or middle school. HSK 4+ level is a good readiness indicator. A 5 gives college credit at most US universities.
College Credit Seekers
