Do I need a teaching certificate?
No certificate is required for conversational teachers. We evaluate based on language proficiency, teaching ability, and student outcomes. Certificates are a bonus, not a requirement.
How do I get paid?
Your share of a lesson is released as soon as the lesson is marked complete: it goes to your connected Stripe account and reaches your bank on Stripe's usual timeline, roughly 3–5 business days. There is no weekly or monthly payday to wait for. Anything that could not be sent automatically — lessons you taught before connecting Stripe, for instance — stays in your Unox balance, and you can withdraw it yourself from the Earnings page whenever you like; those withdrawals are released one completed lesson at a time and have to clear the minimum you choose in your payout settings.
When can I start teaching?
Most applications are reviewed within 1–3 business days. After your demo lesson is approved, you can set your schedule and start accepting bookings the same day.
Can I teach multiple languages?
Yes. If you're qualified in more than one language, you can list all of them on your profile and students can book you for any of them.
What languages does Unox support?
We currently support Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, English, and more. If your language is not listed, mention it in your application.
