Unox takes 10% — one of the lowest rates in the industry. You keep the other 90% of every lesson you teach.
You set the trial price
Your first lesson with a student is priced by you, like any other. There is a free-trial switch in your dashboard if you want one — it is off unless you turn it on.
Paid as each lesson finishes
Your share goes to your own Stripe account as soon as the lesson is marked complete — no payday to wait for, and anything left in your balance you can withdraw yourself at any time. A lesson's payout waits for a person to review it only if the student reports a problem with it, the payment is disputed or refunded, or the classroom shows no sign the lesson took place.

Once your profile carries the Verified badge, it is listed in search and teacher recommendations for your language, visible to learners anywhere in the world.

Fill in the five-step form: your background, the language you teach, a short bio and your rate. No account is needed to apply.
Review
With an intro video, a person reviews your application. Without one, an automated check reads your written answers: if it passes, you are approved at once; if not, a person reviews it. An application to teach AI skills always goes to a person, with or without a video. The answer comes by email.
Sign in and set up
Sign in with the email you applied with — an emailed code creates your account if you do not have one. In the Teacher Dashboard, set your hours and your rate.
Your profile is listed
Search and recommendations list your profile once it is verified: approval by a person includes that, while an automatic approval waits for a Unox admin. Students can't book lessons on Unox right now: paid bookings are paused.

No degree required for conversational language teachers. We review your application, and your intro video if you include one — not paperwork. No document is collected at any point.
Teach AI skills
Unox is adding one-to-one lessons in practical AI skills. Students bring their own work — an email, a report, a spreadsheet, a task from their business — and you help them build something they can reuse, checking the AI's mistakes along the way.
A person reviews every AI application: your work samples, a short screen recording and a 20-minute trial lesson on a video call. You need to live where ChatGPT and Claude are officially available.

Do I need a teaching certificate?
No certificate is required for conversational teachers — we collect no documents at all. What we review is your written application, and your intro video if you include one. Certificates are worth mentioning in your bio, not a requirement.
How do I get paid?
Your share of a lesson is released as soon as the lesson is marked complete: it goes to your connected Stripe account and reaches your bank on Stripe's usual timeline, roughly 3–5 business days. There is no weekly or monthly payday to wait for. Anything that could not be sent automatically — lessons you taught before connecting Stripe, for instance — stays in your Unox balance, and you can withdraw it yourself from the Earnings page whenever you like; those withdrawals are released one completed lesson at a time and have to clear the minimum you choose in your payout settings. Unox pays teachers through Stripe, and we can only open a payout account in the United States right now. Setting it up asks for a US address, the last 4 digits of a US Social Security number (SSN), and a US bank account.
When can I start teaching?
It depends on whether you included an intro video. Without one, an automated content check reads your written answers straight away: if it passes, you are approved on the spot; if not, a person reviews the application. An application to teach AI skills always goes to a person, with or without a video. With a video, a person watches it first — we aim to reply within 3 business days. After approval, sign in with the email you applied with and set your hours. Students can't book lessons on Unox right now: paid bookings are paused.
Can I teach multiple languages?
One language per profile. The application form asks which single language you teach, and that is the language students find and book you under — the search filters, language pages and recommendations all read that one language. There is no way to add a second language to the same profile today.
What languages does Unox support?
The application form offers six teaching languages: Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and French. If you teach something else — German or English included — the form cannot take your application yet. Chinese (Mandarin) is also the only language with teachers on Unox today, so in any of the other five you would be the first.
