Small Groups. Big Results.
Live online classes capped at 6 students, taught by expert language teachers. More speaking time, more accountability, and 40% cheaper than private lessons.
Why Group Learning Works
Four research-backed reasons small-group classes outperform solo study.
Peer Pressure That Helps
Research consistently shows learners in small groups speak more frequently than in solo sessions. When classmates are listening, you push yourself to produce language — not just recognize it.
Real Conversation Practice
Interacting with other learners introduces variety that a single teacher cannot replicate. You hear different accents, pace yourself against peers, and practice the turn-taking skills real conversation requires.
Significant Affordability
Group classes cost 40% less than equivalent 1-on-1 instruction. The quality of instruction stays high — you share the teacher's expertise, not their attention during explanations.
Built-In Accountability
Classmates expect you to show up. Missing a group session feels different from cancelling a solo lesson. That social expectation is one of the strongest predictors of consistency in language learning.
Three Class Formats
Pick the format that fits your level and goal. Mix and match as you progress.

Who Group Classes Are For
Group classes work especially well for four types of language learners.
Budget-Conscious Learners
You want expert instruction at a price that lets you study consistently — not just occasionally. Group classes give you more weekly practice hours for the same spend.
Conversation Practice Seekers
You have grammar knowledge but need more real speaking time. Group classes force you to produce language in front of others — which builds the kind of confidence solo study never can.
Accountability Partners
You know you study better when others are counting on you. A recurring weekly group class anchors your practice schedule in a way that self-study rarely does.
Social Learners
You find the process more enjoyable when you are learning alongside others. The energy of a small group session — the laughter, the shared mistakes, the progress — keeps you coming back.
What Learners Say
“I had been doing solo lessons for a year and my French was technically okay, but stilted. Two months of Conversation Circles and I actually enjoy speaking now. Something about other learners in the room made me stop being afraid of mistakes.”

“The Grammar Workshops are genuinely well-structured. The teacher explains the target point once, clearly, and the rest of the session is practice. My accuracy went from embarrassing to something I am proud of.”
David K.
English → Japanese
“I joined the Advanced Discussion group because I wanted to be pushed intellectually. It delivered. The level of debate you can have in a second language when everyone is near C1 is something I could not replicate in a 1-on-1 lesson.”

Common Questions
How small are the groups, really?
Conversation Circles and Advanced Discussion classes cap at 4 students. Grammar Workshops allow up to 6. These are hard caps — sessions never run with more students, even if demand is high. You will always know the names of everyone in the room.
How does Unox match students by level?
Every learner completes a short placement assessment before booking group classes. Each session lists a CEFR level range (e.g. A2–B1). You choose classes that match your assessed range. Teachers also conduct a brief check at the start and will redirect anyone who is significantly mismatched to a better-suited session.
Are group classes better or worse than 1-on-1?
Neither — they serve different purposes. Group classes are excellent for speaking volume, peer interaction, affordability, and accountability. 1-on-1 lessons are better for targeted error correction, exam preparation, and highly personalized curriculum. Many learners on Unox use both: group classes two or three times per week, and one 1-on-1 session per week for focused feedback.
What if I need to miss a session?
You can reschedule or cancel a group class up to 12 hours before it starts with no charge. Within 12 hours, the session is charged. If a class is cancelled by Unox for any reason (teacher illness, too few bookings), you receive a full credit automatically.
Is there a free trial for group classes?
Yes. Your first group class is free, regardless of format or language. No credit card required to book the trial. If you enjoy it, you can join the same class each week or mix and match across formats and languages.
Ready to Learn With Others?
