Reading
54–72 min
3–4 academic passages. Multiple choice with detailed comprehension questions.
Listening
41–57 min
Lectures and conversations. Note-taking is essential — you'll use notes to answer questions.
Speaking
17 min · 4 tasks
1 independent (express opinion) + 3 integrated (read/listen then speak). Unique to TOEFL.
Writing
50 min · 2 essays
1 integrated (read/listen then write) + 1 independent argumentative essay.
