Frequently asked questions
How are tutors vetted?
Every tutor completes an identity check, a teaching methodology interview, and a recorded demo lesson reviewed by our quality team before they can accept students.
What is the cancellation policy?
More than 24 hours before the lesson: full refund. Between 12 and 24 hours: 50% refunded. Less than 12 hours: no refund. A lesson paid from your wallet balance comes back in full any time up to 12 hours before. If your teacher cancels, you are refunded in full whatever the notice.
Can I reschedule a lesson?
Yes. Open your upcoming lessons dashboard, click Reschedule, and choose a new slot from your tutor's live calendar. Rescheduling is free however close to the lesson you do it — there is no notice window and no fee.
Do you offer group lessons or only 1-on-1?
Most lessons on Unox are 1-on-1 for maximum personalisation. Some tutors also offer small group sessions (2–4 students) at a lower per-person rate. Filter by Lesson Type on the tutor search page to find group options.
Is there a trial lesson?
Your first lesson with a teacher is discounted, but it is not free and there is no single price. A teacher can set their own trial price; a teacher who has not set one does not offer a trial at all. The exact figure is on the teacher's profile and on the booking screen before you pay.
