Absolutely. Our youngest learners start from zero — no prior exposure needed. Tutors who work with ages 5–7 usually begin with songs, games, and basic Pinyin before introducing any characters. The starting point is calibrated entirely to your child.
How long are lessons for young children?
For ages 5–7, we recommend 30–40 minute sessions. For ages 8–11, 45–50 minutes is standard. Teenagers can comfortably handle full 50-minute sessions. Shorter, more frequent sessions (twice weekly) tend to outperform longer, less frequent ones for young learners.
Can I sit in on my child's lesson?
Yes — always. Parents are welcome to observe any lesson. Many parents of younger children sit in to reinforce vocabulary between sessions. If you prefer your child to have their own learning space, tutors are experienced at managing lessons independently as well.
