We collect information you provide directly when using Unox, including: your name and email address when you create an account; booking and scheduling data when you reserve lessons; payment information processed through Stripe (we do not store your full card details); messages exchanged with teachers through the platform; and usage data such as pages visited, features used, and device information collected automatically through standard web technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; process bookings and payments; send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, receipts) via our email provider Resend; personalize your learning experience; communicate with you about the Service, updates, and support; ensure platform safety and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for purposes unrelated to the Service without your consent.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances: with teachers you book (your name and booking details); with service providers who help us operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (transactional emails); when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Unox, our users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as language and theme settings). We use Supabase authentication tokens stored in your browser for secure login. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, though disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication through Supabase, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe. While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to keep your account credentials confidential.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict the processing of your data; data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format); and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. 7. Children's Privacy
Unox is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@unox.chat and we will promptly delete such information. Users between 13 and 18 should use the Service with parental consent and supervision.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial transaction records). Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date.
