Unox is an online marketplace for 1-on-1 video lessons with human language teachers. Each teacher's profile shows the rate they have set and their reviews. Right now Unox takes no payments, and paid lessons are paused.

How much does a language lesson cost on Unox?

Each teacher sets their own rate and publishes it on their profile, so there is no single platform price.

What languages can I learn on Unox?

Unox is still building its teacher roster, so Chinese (Mandarin) is the language with teachers today. Right now Unox takes no payments, and paid lessons are paused. If you are learning another language, tell us which one on the Request a course page and it goes on the list we recruit from. Teachers can apply in six languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and French.

Are the teachers on Unox certified?

Teachers apply before they can be booked. An application with an intro video is reviewed by a person; one without a video is screened automatically and can go live without a human seeing it. Teachers list their own credentials, and Unox does not verify those credentials independently — read the profile and judge for yourself.
