How much does a lesson cost?
Whatever the teacher set. Every teacher's profile shows their rate before you book, and that is the price you pay — there is no platform markup on top of it.
When is my teacher paid?
Not at checkout. Your payment is held until the lesson has happened and you confirm it, and only then is it released. If you say nothing either way, it releases automatically after three days.
What if the lesson doesn't happen?
Tell us the lesson had a problem and the money stays held while a person looks at it. Because nothing is released before you confirm, there is no payment to chase back.
Does Unox take a cut?
10%, and it is not margin. Unox is a non-profit site, kept running by volunteers who are not paid for it. The 10% goes to running and developing it — nothing else.
Is there a subscription?
Not right now. You pay per lesson, and there is nothing recurring to cancel.
Do I need a card to look around?
No. Browsing teachers, reading profiles and using the practice tools cost nothing and ask for nothing.
